I’d been thinking about Marshmallow Peeps all week, and then I ran across Peeps for Passover today, and then I discovered Washington Post’s Peeps Diorama Contest. And basically, well, I’m really craving some Peeps now. I haven’t seen them here in Sweden. If someone in the U.S. wanted to buy a whole lot of Peeps and Cadbury Creme Eggs at an after-Easter clearance sale and send them to me, I could return the favor with some exotic Swedish candy. Salty licorice anyone? (Just kidding, that stuff is hard for the uninitiated to stomach. I’ll send something else.)

Lakrits saltat is a foul creation and my relatives’ love of said salty licorice is an abomination. Scored some Cadbury eggs on clearance at Target the other day…if stuff is still available I could oblige you next week? Mmmm…but what to ask for? I miss shopping at Konsum.

I’ll do it on one condition– that you let me send you something else in addition. I never quite understood why the peops liked those peeps; sorry. What else would you want from the states? Good thing about peeps though, if they get there 3 years from now they’ll be as fresh as they are right now. I don’t get marshmallows either, so I’m sure the problem is all mine. Any music you want me to burn for you? I have oodles of great stuff and several blank discs (not sure where to start– what do you like?). And way too much time on my hands.
Speaking of music, Radiohead is coming to CA this summer and I am FINALLY go see them live; I hear they put on great shows.
You might want to send me an address, or tell me how to write “Crazy American chick and hip looking Russian guy” in Swedish. I’ve long had a desire to put a series of maps, starting with the Earth and finally getting to a diagram of the street including an X marking the spot, on an envelope and see if it gets to where I want it to go. I won’t try that this time though. What with Mapquest it would be a cinch to print it out; and I’d just like to point out, for the record, that I had that idea long before Mapquest came along.
Sorry, did I mention I have way too too too much free time on my hands?

Christina, perhaps you want “Bilar - Sveriges mest köpt bil” or the appealingly -named “Plopp”? Tell me, and we can exchange addresses on Facebook.
Kevin, I can see why some people wouldn’t like Peeps, and I tend to think most candy that isn’t chocolate is a waste of one’s empty calories quota, but there’s something about the crunchy sugar outside and chewy marshmallow inside that is very appealing.
I can’t say we lack for music, since Kostia is always downloading stuff, but, you know, if you wanted to make me a mix CD with songs that are like, really super meaningful to you, with a hand-drawn cover, that would be really retro. Do the youth even make mix CDs (or even better, mix tapes) for each other anymore or do they just send each other iPod playlists?
I’ll send you my address on Facebook too.
