Happy New Year. No, I haven’t disappeared. Between Christmas and New Year’s I was really busy and stressed out, then I hosted a New Year’s party, and since then I’ve been just relaxing. The federal holidays are nine days long, so finally I get to catch up on sleep. It feels great. Today Kostia and I went to see the latest Russian blockbuster, Dnevnoy Dozor. I’ll admit it was pretty good, better than its predecessor, Nochnoy Dozor. Tomorrow we go to Kostia’s hometown for a couple of days.

Here’s a seasonal photo from our trip to Tampere, Finland, a couple of weeks ago.

About This Blog

I'm an American who started blogging when I moved to Russia in 2004. Eventually I moved to Sweden, where life is pleasant but uneventful, and stopped blogging for lack of interesting things to say. And then I joined Facebook, which further destroyed any motivation for blogging. Maybe someday I'll start blogging again, but for now, this blog is dormant, an archive of The Russia Years: 2004-2008.
